Role: FOS Assistant BuyerWe are seeking a motivated
FOS (front of shop) Assistant Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the FOS Buyer and ensuring the success of our Front of Shop operations.
Key Responsibilities:Supplier Management and Pricing- Maintain and update supplier price files in our systems on a weekly and monthly basis
- Ensure data accuracy and timely updates to avoid disruptions in operations
Performance and KPI Management- Adhere to established KPIs to support the achievement of category performance goals
- Provide input and support to the FOS Buyer to meet overall targets and budget requirements
Supplier Relationships- Support the FOS Buyer to manage and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure reliable supply and optimal terms
- Address and resolve issues with underperforming categories or suppliers as needed
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to align promotional activities and operational strategies
- Contribute insights to support category growth and development
Reporting and Presentation- Support FOS Buyer in preparing detailed reports and presenting key performance information to senior management
- Highlight trends, challenges, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making
Promotions and Category Development- Assist in the development, planning, and management of promotional activities to drive sales and customer engagement
- Support initiatives to optimise category performance and profitability
Skills and Qualifications:- Experience: Previous experience in pharmacy, retail, or buying environment is desirable
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Analytical Abilities: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and report data effectively
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and presentation purposes
- Teamwork: A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
