ROLE SPECIFICATION:
Reporting to the Buyer - Front of Store, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the team by assisting with various responsibilities, including but not limited to: maintaining price files; ensuring efficient communication between internal teams and external suppliers; and administration tasks.

The Junior Buyer will be responsible for reviewing the purchase costs, generating and analysing sales information, preparing product files and ensuring accurate pricing. This is an ideal opportunity for a Junior Buyer or Commercial Administrator looking to progress their career in the pharmaceutical industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver excellent customer service to our pharmacy partners
  • Support the Front of Shop Buyer in developing and delivering a strategic plan for the categories managed through analysis of market trends, customer insight and performance trends
  • Deliver new range and brand opportunities ensuring we take first mover advantage as well as establishing a point of difference
  • Manage supplier relationships in order to secure the best outcomes for the business, ensuring that all relationships are conducted professionally
  • Maximise supply assets through all parts of our organisation, deliver sales and business growth opportunities to the wider CarePlus/Axium teams
  • Support FOS Buyer in ensuring that all supplier deals are captured through JBP documentation
  • Consistently review business performance and report the results to FOS Buyer
  • Build and maintain great relationships with key stakeholders and support functions across the business
  • Attend relevant trade shows, seminars, industry events
  • Evaluate potential suppliers for quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Resolve issues related to shortages, overages, or quality discrepancies

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2+ years of Retail Buying/Commercial administration experience in a similar environment
  • Strong negotiating skills and presentation skills
  • Relationship management, both internal and external
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • A self-starter
  • High level of numeracy
  • 3rd level qualification ideal but not a prerequisite
  • Pharmaceutical Technician is a benefit
