Tendering and specification
Projects are put out to tender for the customer to a panel of well-respected and proven repeat suppliers. Suppliers then cost up the projects using a strict set of specifications provided by NAVI Group, giving the pharmacy owner the reassurance that costings are on a like for like basis and they are getting good value for money.
The other advantage of this method is that the contractors are not working on a “one off” basis, leading them to be far more engaged with the project and considerate to the customer, with a view to getting further work from NAVI Group in the future.
Competitor cost comparisons
As the pharmacy industry can be inconsistent and varied in terms of the standard of work and money spent on projects, NAVI group benchmarks supplier costings against other comparable large spending retailers in other sectors of retail i.e. Centra, SuperValu, Dunnes, Lidl and so on.
As these companies are far larger, have bigger buying power and are fully national, this gives a better indication of where our costings need to be compared to other pharmacy groups or independents who may see huge and sometimes unexplainable inconsistencies in costs.
Preferred rates and cost savings
As the NAVI group has designed a specification for our stores for consistency, we have the access to buy some items in bulk or at a favourable rate that the customer would not otherwise have access to.
Project and site management
Project management of pharmacy builds and fitouts is one of the largest advantages of our Store Development department for our pharmacy customers. This frees up a huge amount of time for them, gives them protection from changes in schedule or cost that they do not understand/cannot control and gives them one point of contact that will deal with the number of moving parts and people involved in a project, allowing the owners time to run their business and be present in store.
Project cost tracking
As part of the project management service, NAVI Group will budget, cost, track and then cross-check project costs before and during a project. A final cost check is then carried out on a project, making sure there are no extra costs or overruns, and that the customer is not overpaying for anything.

Now that you are happy with your plan, we create a project implementation plan specific to you, and competitively tender the works with best-in-class contractors, managing the process for you.
