Chief Procurement Officer

Peter brings more than 15 years retail experience to his role of Chief Procurement Officer, having previously worked as Commercial Director (Wholesale) for Navi Group, and prior to that for Lidl Ireland and Applegreen in a variety of Senior Commercial and Operational roles. Peter studied Engineering in Trinity College Dublin, and more recently completed a Masters in Business Administration with UCD. Peter also holds an advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from CIMA.
John Carroll
Chief Executive

Pharmacist John Carroll founded and established Axium Buying Group in 2009.
Axium is the largest independent community pharmacy buying
group in Ireland, supplying
over 480 independent pharmacies.
John is originally
from Kerry and now lives
in Kildare with his family.
Simon Healy
Executive Chairman

Simon has worked in the retail business for his entire career. His many senior roles have included working in the Grocery, Hardware and Pharmacy channels in the retail sector. Simon holds a BSc (Hons) from University College Cork, an MSc (HRM) from Sheffield Hallam University and is currently completing a Doctorate in Business Administration.

Leigh Herron
Chief Financial Officer

Leigh brings a wealth of experience to the CFO role with over 20 years in senior positions in Finance, Operations, Business Development and General Management in the Manufacturing, Technology and Software Development industries. Over the past 2 years, Leigh has managed 2 UK based recycling and manufacturing sites and was responsible for leading the transformation of those businesses.
Aisling Smith
Head of Business Relationship Management

Aisling joined the company in 2017, initially as part of the Navi Graduate Programme. She also spent some time in OTC Buying before moving on to the role of Retail Operations Manager, managing a group of our CarePlus and Staywell Franchisees. Aisling brings a lot of practical experience from her time on the road to managing our customers. Aisling is responsible for managing all of our customer relationships across our Franchise, Broker, IT and Marketing Functions.
Stephen McKay
Director of Store Development

With 14 years experience in retail store development, Stephen's specialities including brand roll out and franchising. Stephen has the responsibility of creating and building the CarePlus environment, managing the design, planning, and costing of all CarePlus stores under the symbol group's umbrella. Originally from Dublin, Stephen holds a BA in Interior Architecture from Cork Institute of Technology and a Diploma in Project Management from Griffith College Dublin.
Breege McTigue
Director of Customer Engagement

Breege brings a wealth of experience to this role having spent 15 years working in ADM Londis. She has developed a management system by implementing CRM, which sits beside the brand supporting the CarePlus franchisee in training, relationship management and customer service. Breege is also responsible for business excellence across the business. Originally from Castlebar, Co Mayo, Breege holds a BA in Business Studies from Athlone IT.
Finn McCann
Chief Technology Officer

Finn brings 25+ years of experience to his role as Chief Technology Officer, including the successful delivery of IT projects and services in the software, telecommunications and retail industries. His expertise includes software strategy and managing complex IT systems to deliver business value. Previously with GTECH Operations Ireland, he was responsible for technology development and implementation for the National Lottery.
